Three galleries make up Ghana's National Museum, which is situated in the Adabraka neighborhood of Accra. Tourists who are interested to learn about the past can visit the National Museum in Accra if you wish for a more thorough understanding of Ghana's present histories and historical.

Archaeology, Ethnography, and Arts make up the museum's three main divisions. The works of well-known Ghanaian modern artists like Ablade Glover and El Anatsui are displayed in the Arts area. The magnificent and huge sculpture garden at the museum is another place you and your kids may relax.

The ultimate knowledge base on the numerous cultural aspects of the Ghanaian people, including their chieftaincy systems, attire, cuisine, languages, and handicrafts, is the National Museum of Ghana, which was founded in 1957. The history of the nation is the subject of one gallery, the history of the arts is the subject of another, and the history of the nation's culture is the subject of the third gallery. Some of the objects are from the Stone Age.

Some of Ghana's most fascinating historical artifacts can be found in the National Museum. The Duchess of Kent officially opened the museum in 1957, providing visitors a chance to journey through the country's archaelogical and ethnographic richness. There are jewelry, musical instruments, and the crucial royal Asante chairs in the display, which devotes a large portion of its space to indigenous arts and crafts.

In addition, there are displays of money, tools, Asante gold weights, textiles, and leathercraft. The chair used at Kwame Nkrumah's inauguration and the final British governor's chair, both recovered from Christianborg Castle, are somewhat obscured. A presentation on the slave trade that details the harsh history of the time and displays moving artifacts like shackles is required viewing. A gallery containing works by Ghanaian artists is also present.

Even Congo carvings are on show there. In addition to the three galleries, this museum also has a wonderful sculpture garden. It features numerous magnificent sculptures of significant personalities from Ghana's history, notably those of its presidents. Even reproductions of some of the paintings and sculptures on display are available in this fantastic shop.
