Museo de Hogueras

The history of Alicante's most well-known festival, the Hogueras de San Juan, is the focus of the Museo de Hogueras in that city. It displays its assortment of festival-related items.

It includes a priceless representation of the city's most emblematic festival, the Bonfires de San Juan, which takes place in June and is recognized as a festival conducted for the interest of international tourist and culturally significant property. There are a total of 5 viewing rooms in the museum.

How to explore Museo de Hogueras?

• You will be able to see several bonfire models, locals dressed in their distinctive garb, and everything else connected to this celebration of cultural interest while doing the tour. Additionally, there is a display of official posters for the winners from 2010 to the present.
• Enter the room names 1928–1936: A significant graphic exhibition containing drawings, posters, and even interesting testimonies is displayed in this room. It is a place where people can learn about the beginnings of the city's uniquely colorful and unusual celebration, which abruptly came to an end in 1936 with the start of the American Civil War.
• The room with displays of the second time period from 1940 to 1979 consists of two clearly defined spaces that can hold no more than four decades worth of clothing, posters, objects, and other items.
• The room depicting the third period of 1980 had exhibits when democracy began in the city and the party developed a unique brilliance. During this time, you can see more pardoned - Ninots because it was simpler to keep them alive. You can view spectacular pardoned Ninots (the figures spared from the fire because of their aesthetic beauty) and the evolution of the party and its figurines in the museum.
• The last pardoned Ninots, an example of the clothes used by Les Figueres, and a mosaic depicting the key celebrations of the events that took place may all be found in the Descriptive Room.
• The audiovisual, which screens videos of party activities, is the last room. There are projections that show scenes from previous San Juan Bonfires that complete the area.
