Mirador De La Flor, also called Selena Memorial, is a monument in Corpus Christi, Texas, that celebrates the Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla and her life and music. On April 16, 1997, exactly two years after Selena's passing, the memorial was revealed to the public for the first time. It was conceptualized by the artist H.W. 'Buddy' Tatum, and it highlights a bronze statue of Selena that is life-size and depicts her in her signature stage attire while she holding a microphone.
The memorial is situated in a small park close to the seawall in the downtown area of Corpus Christi. This location offers visitors with a stunning view of the bay. The park is home to a modest museum that showcases several of Selena's personal items, such as her stage costumes, trophies, and several other pieces of souvenirs.
The park is open to the general public throughout the year without any entrance charge. The memorial is a destination visited by Selena fans and tourists equally. Many visitors leave flowers, candles, and other tokens of respect and adoration for Selena at the base of the statue.
